The Panther’s Tale is the official newsmagazine and online news source of Derby High School. The newsmagazine is an open forum publication and produced in a class by a student staff that makes all final-content decisions. The staff aims primarily to inform the high school community about recent news and events in and around the high school.

The staff welcomes reader views and opinions through letters to the editor. The letter must be signed and must include full name, year in school or title. Letters may be taken to K-11 or e-mailed to lporter@usd260.com for publication when space permits. The staff reserves the right to edit for clarity and length.

The Panther’s Tale staff will not accept advertising for products or groups that are racist, sexist, illegal or violate other standards journalistic principles (libel, obscenity, invasion of privacy, disruption). 

The views or opinions expressed in this publication do not reflect the views or opinions of all students, faculty or administration.
